Membership

UiTM students and staff are automatically members of the library. Students are automatically registered as library members and use UiTM student / staff card as a membership card. Whereas, staff need to register as library members by filling out a customer data form.

Library membership is based on the specified category and is subject to the following membership fees (see below)

 

 

External Membership

The library offers individuals or institutions (government and private) interested in being a member of the library. External membership is based on the prescribed category and is subject to the following library membership fees (see below)

For late returning of books :

 

  • Fines will be charged to the borrower RM0.20 sen per day/per book.

 

  • Please pay your fines at the respective library counters.

 

  • The library may block your account if you have accumulated fines of RM0.20 or more. (will not be allowed to renew or borrow a book onwards)

Books Reservation

  • User can make reservation by using OPAC terminal in the library.

 

 

Books Renewal

Renewal can be done via:

  • OPAC
  • Library Counter
 

IMPORTANT: Users can renew the Library material that you have out on loan, although certain conditions attach to your freedom to renew an item.

Renewals (that is, an extension of your loan period) are granted only if:

  • there is no Waiting List (reserved) for that item
  • you do not have overdue items or an outstanding amount owed on your loan record
  • your registration is about to expire
  • For journal articles, chapters of books and conference papers that the Library does not hold, photocopies may be obtained from other libraries either locally or from abroad.
  • This is done on request from staff and students. Please see librarian for this service or use OPAC

Borrowing

  • All borrowers must present a valid library card (staff / student UiTM card or external borrower card) to borrow materials. Library cards are not transferable and will be honoured only when presented by the legitimate card holder.
  • You may fetch the book from the shelf and have it issued to you at the Lending Counter.
  • User are advised to use the SelfCheck Machine to make the transaction.

 

 

 

Returning 

  • You may return Library material that you have borrowed at the PTARPP counter.

 

IMPORTANT: Library material should be handed in at the Library and nowhere else. Always check back with the Library employee on duty at the counter after returning material.
